After 51 days on the road, I got to sleep in my own bed again! I took a few days’ break before writing this post (in fact, I’m now in the boarding room at an airport for a different trip, but I digress), but here are a few stats and pictures to sum up this trip:

  • 4700+ miles on the road, over 5200 driven
  • 10 programs visited
  • 15 different beds or sleeping arrangements
  • 17 States covered.
  • 9 Coaches interviewed for the Swim Coach in Transit Podcast (can’t wait to start getting those out!)

I can’t even begin to properly thank everyone who helped with the trip in any way, and especially those who went above and beyond in hosting me! While I’ll be taking a break from vising teams, I’ll now finally have time to work on the editing for the podcast. I expect (and hope!) the first one will be out in the second or third week in November, and then I plan on releasing them 15-days apart.

And as this trip also included some great activities outside of swimming, here are a few of my favorite pictures and videos:

4768 miles on the road; the car got over 5200 total
Some “beds” not featured on pictures, but I did sleep in 15 different ones!
Clockwise, from the top left: Keeneland (I won some $!) in Lexington, KY; a harbor in Providence, RI; the Baha’i temple in Chicago; “The Brickyard” in Speedway, IN (I stumbled upon the empty bleachers!)
Clockwise, from the top left: the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA; the Canada-USA bridge near Niagara Falls, NY; a Hawkeye Football Game in Iowa City, IA; The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, MO
A Pumpkin Festival in Providence, RI – this was the “grand finale” but not even 1/10th of the whole thing!
